(德國之聲中文網)英國首相梅週五結束了訪華之旅,《新蘇黎世報》(NZZ)駐京記者Matthias Müller評述認為,此次中國之行對於梅來說就像走鋼絲一般艱難。題為《有求於北京》(Als Bittstellerin in Peking)的這篇文章在綜述了英國首相此行的收獲之後指出,盡管雙方都毫不吝惜使用熱情友好的詞匯,但這並不能掩蓋梅此次訪華的艱難:
"雖然她在北京沿用了2015年10月習近平訪英時使用的兩國關係進入'黃金時代'的說法,但是在中國人眼裡,倫敦的地位由於退歐而大打折扣。中國人希望有一個強大而值得信賴的歐盟,隨著英國的退出,北京的這一期望破滅了。在中國,人們現在有不少疑問,比如說那些在英國開展金融業務的中國企業,還有那些把自己的歐洲總部設在英國的中國企業,未來如何進入歐盟市場。"
在這樣的背景下,北京自然就開始在歐盟內部重新尋覓合作夥伴。作者認為,由於德國因為政府組閣艱難而掣肘,所以不久前法國總統馬克洪的訪華可能具有某種指向性。而馬克洪搶在了梅之前,成為中共召開十九大之後首位訪華的歐洲國家領導人。
與人氣正旺的年輕總統相比,梅首相的處境就艱難得多。"除了英國退歐問題之外,作為一個可能烏紗帽朝不保夕的首相,她被中國人視為不具備行動能力的夥伴。梅和他的前任卡梅倫在政治上所表現出來的蠻橫輕率都讓北京大跌眼鏡。卡梅倫把自己的政治命運和英國退歐公投綁在一起,結果滿盤皆輸。而梅指望通過提前選舉強化自己的權力地位--結果反而被削弱。而延遲批准中國參股的欣克利角核電站項目,這一舉動也使得這位女首相在北京那裡大大失分。"
在這次訪華期間,梅是有求於北京的。"她毫不隱諱地表示,希望在完成英國退歐進程之後,與北京就簽署自由貿易協定進行談判。此外,倫敦也對習近平的一帶一路項目持開放態度。"
