The beautiful St Edmund Hall lays claim to being the oldest college. The exact date it was founded is uncertain, but it is likely to be the late 13th century.
Teddy Hall students enjoy fantastic college buildings, from the 12th-century church which now houses the college library to the 17th-century chapel decorated with stained glass by Edward Burne-Jones and William Morris.
Notable alumni include comedians Al Murray, Stewart Lee and Terry Jones.
